She picked the lipstick
Pressed her lips against its smooth
What would he say if he really knew her
Would he be able to handle the truth?
She reached for his drink
As he tucked her hair behind her ear
She smiled and put the poison in
But felt a gun at the back of her
She threw the acid and burnt the eyes
Lifted her own gun and surprise surprise!
He was dead in front of her
The hall was littered with corpses
She ran out on full alert
And straight into the masses
Where was he?
She heard his laughter in her head
There again she saw a glimpse
Aimed and shot him dead
But she heard him laugh again
And realized it was just a mirror
He was behind her
And his hand about her neck
She kicked him where he deserved it
She hit him and brought him to the ground
And as he fell at last
She threw off her gloves and fell down
Tears in her eyes
For she'd never wanted this to be
Circumstance had killed the chance
And now all that remained
Was dust and a memory

He softly said and smoothly lied
And once more she let him inside

She’d find her bliss in his cruel
