Politics laughs at the fools of its manipulation
Makes a mockery of the laws of our constitution
Are we to be represented by a flock of hungry vultures
Preying on industry, religion, caste
Messing with our futures
Are we to blame as well for giving it up to fate?
I wish to use my limitations for the happiness of a whole
Its selfish- all I want is the peace of my own soul
I know what I want and I know how to get there
In the interim I shall do all I can
Not fall prey to my own self righteousness
Uphold equality, value diversity and be a medium
For the voices of the world

I understand what you're saying.. but what does this mean:Not fall prey to my own self righteousness
Well that i want to remain open minded and not suddenly start becoming prejudiced, or having stereotypes in my mind. if i think something is right and i do not listen to other views,before hanging them, because they are against what i hold as right or what i've come across so far, then acc. 2 me that is falling victim to my own self righteousness.
